KPCC president D.K.Sivakumar got a big relief in the case of wealth gain beyond income.
The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of the CBI petition challenging the Karnataka High Court's stay on the investigation related to the illegal assets case against KPCC president DK Shivakumar to July 14.
But the CBI refused to give any interim order. The Supreme Court refused to vacate the injunction granted by the High Court to the CBI investigation and directed an appeal to be filed in the High Court.
DK. Shivakumar seems to have got a big relief through this. The Karnataka High Court had granted an interim stay on the CBI investigation into the case against DK Shivakumar. The CBI filed an appeal in the Supreme Court to vacate the stay order. The Supreme Court, which heard this petition today, opined that since the High Court vacation is about to end, it is appropriate to hear it there. In this background, KPCC president DK has got a temporary relief.
